Le Rituel K°ROL

A K°ROL candle or wax melt is handmade, in 100% plant-based wax. A few simple gestures are all it takes to make them last much longer.

Wax has a memory

Plant-based wax has a memory. On the very first burn, let the surface melt completely, from edge to edge of the container — often one to two hours depending on the size. This first full melt keeps it from tunnelling later on.

Trim the wick

Before each burn, with the wick cold, trim it to about five millimetres. A calmer flame, no black smoke, no soot on the glass — and a candle that lasts longer.

The right tempo

Enjoy it in sessions of two to four hours, then let the candle cool before lighting it again. Beyond that, the flame grows and the container heats up needlessly.

Away from draughts

Keep it away from windows, vents and busy walkways. A dancing flame burns unevenly — that's often where tunnelling begins.

The rescue

If a tunnel forms

Nothing is lost. On the next burn, let it burn longer so the wax at the edges melts too. As a last resort, wrap the top of the container in aluminium foil, leaving an opening in the centre, to send the heat back towards the edges.

A clean wax pool

Remove any debris, matches or bits of wick that fall into the wax: they could reignite a flame.

Put it out gently

Rather than blowing it out, use a snuffer or gently dip the wick into the melted wax, then straighten it up. You avoid smoke and splatter — and you re-centre the wick for next time.

At rest

Between uses, store your candle away from sunlight, heat and dust. Its Grasse fragrances will stay all the truer for it.

For your safety: never leave a burning flame unattended. Keep candles and burners out of reach of children and animals, away from anything flammable, and always place them on a heat-resistant surface.
